Friday Faves

Hi friends! How are you?? Happy Friday! What’s going on this weekend? Any fun plans or fitness events? I’ve taught and/or trained clients every day this week, so I’m definitely excited for some downtime with the fam. I’m hoping to head strawberry picking with the girls, and also catch a yoga class. I’d love to hear what’s going on with you!

In standard Friday fashion, here are some fave things from the week and web. Please share some of your faves in the comments section if you’d like to join in the fun below!

Bubbles

Petit fours

Dessert with p

(She definitely shares our family’s love for sweet treats)

Being back in the teaching/fitness game. It can be challenging to get childcare figured out for my classes (and I don’t teach nearly as often as I used to), but it’s so worth it. I feel so thankful to have a very small part in the fitness and health journey of others.

Essential oil washcloths

(Making essential oil washcloths for my power class)

When I’m teaching and/or personal training, it keeps me relevant and up to date on what’s going on in the fitness world. I think it helps to prevent staleness and complacency; definitely keeps me on my toes.

Speaking of toes…

Sperrys with joggers

the infamous Band-Aid shoes. If you follow me on IG stories or Snapchat, I’ve already posted about these Sperry’s. I had my eye on a similar style a few weeks ago, and after reading reviews online, I went with these ones. (Reviews said to order a half size smaller since they stretch out. I’m usually an 8 and the 7.5s fit perfectly.) When I took them out of the box, the Pilot said, “Those look like Band-Aids.” I laughed pretty hard at that one, and think of it every time I wear these shoes, which has been pretty much every day.

I especially love them with joggers (these are the ones I’m wearing above), destroyed jean shorts and a black tee, cropped jeans and a grey tank, or any of my simple t-shirt dresses. They’re SO comfy and I can tell I’ll be wearing them a lot this summer.

All the mushroom teas and elixirs. When I first hear Shawn rave about the Four Sigmatic products on his podcast, I was hesitant to try them, because… mushrooms. I ended up finally trying the mushroom coffee a couple of months ago, and loved it, so I branched out to their other products. Everything has been amazing. You can’t taste the mushrooms (thank goodness), and the hot cacao mix is BOMB.

Mushroom mixes

(Everything is from Thrive Market. I’ve been ordering all of our pantry staples from Thrive Market since it’s way less expensive than the grocery stores here)

Caulipower!! My friends at Caulipower hooked us up with some cauliflower crust pizzas, and everyone has been enjoying them. The ingredients are fantastic (no weird fillers/flours/gums), the girls go bananas for them, and they’re getting extra veggies. Liv couldn’t believe me when I said her most hated vegetable is in these pizzas. “Cauliflower?? I hate that smell.” <— she says as she crams another bite into her mouth

The Glass Castle the movie is coming.

So much love for TheSkimm.

A touching, and important post about postpartum depression on Kathy DiVencenzo’s Facebook page.

Can’t get enough of this song right now!! It aaaaallllllllmost makes me wish I was teaching Zumba again….

Georgia rain. It has POURED this week, and the plants and grass are so happy. It makes me laugh because every time it actually rained in San Diego, it was like a holiday. It’s rained so much here already, and it’s been pretty gorgeous.

Cinco de Mayo recipes!

Jackfruit carnitas tacos

Easy skinny margaritas

Tres leches cake

Lots of healthy options here

I’d love to hear one fave from your week! What’s your favorite snack, pair of shoes, and hot drink right now?

xoxo
