Anyone else like to eat cookie dough straight from the bowl?
Yeah, me too.
Since it’s not exactly the best thing to be eating in bulk, these gooey cookie dough bites are the next best thing. Packed with protein and healthy fats, they’ll keep you full and energized—without the guilt or sugar crash.
Here’s your good-for-you gooey cookie dough bites recipe:
Ingredients
1/4 cup vanilla whey or vegan protein powder
1/4 cup rolled oats
1-3 Tbsp unsweetened almond milk or other milk
2 Tbsp powdered peanut butter
1 Tbsp chunky peanut butter
1 Tbsp maple syrup, honey, or sweetener of choice
1 Tbsp mini chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
In a medium bowl, stir together the protein powder, oats, powdered peanut butter, peanut butter, and sweetener. Slowly add in the almond milk, one tablespoon at a time. Do not add too much milk or you’ll end up with an unworkable, gooey mess! You want a dough that’s sticky but not liquid-y at all.
Add in the chocolate chips, then place the bowl in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Remove, then use your hands to roll the dough into four evenly sized balls. Return to the freezer and let chill, then eat up!
