We’re super excited to bring you guys another mini challenge! Next week we’ll be starting the 12 Minute Athlete 5-Day Summer Jump Rope Challenge.
As you probably already know, we’re huge fans of jump ropes because they’re just about the simplest and most effective workout tool and one you can easily bring with you wherever you go. They’re fun to use and you can get in an amazingly sweaty workout by using just a jump rope and your own bodyweight.
This summer, we’re teaming up with Crossrope to bring you a short but sweet 5-Day Summer Jump Rope Challenge. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned jumper, this week will challenge you and push your limits!
We’ll also be giving away a jump rope Plus Set from Crossrope (a $128 value!) to one one super hard worker!

12 Minute Athlete Summer Jump Rope Challenge Rules
Here’s everything you need to know about the challenge:
The challenge starts on Monday, July 31st and goes until Friday, August 4th.
Each day, we’ll post a new jump rope style for you to try out and practice along with a new workout on Instagram and in our Facebook Group. You will be working on five different styles of jumping, one each day. We’ll walk you through all of them to help you get started.
Make sure to post plenty of pictures and videos of your workouts and jump roping attempts during the week. Not only will you help motivate everyone else, but you can win an awesome jump rope package from Crossrope.
Keep in mind that it doesn’t matter how perfectly you do your jump rope exercises—what matters the most is working hard and not making excuses!
We’ll announce the winner on Monday, August 7!
What You’ll Need
Here’s what you’ll need for the challenge:
- Obviously, you’ll need a jump rope to participate in this challenge. Any rope you have will work!
- Space for jumping
- About 15-20 minutes a day for practicing the new jump rope style and completing the workout
Try to be as consistent as you can, but if you miss a day, it’s not a big deal—just get back at it the next day!
