Slow Cooker Banana-Nut Oatmeal
Ingredients
- 1 cup (236.5 ml) steel cut oats (certified gluten-free if necessary)
- 3 cups (709.5 ml) water
- 1 cup (236.5 ml) low-fat (2%) milk
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.2 ml) salt
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) almond butter
- 2 medium (120 grams each) bananas, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
Directions
Lightly coat a 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Combine oats, water, milk and salt in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Spoon 1 cup (236.5 ml) of oatmeal into 4 bowls. Top evenly with banana slices, and drizzle with almond butter and honey.
